So Much More

After all of my frustrations and no win situations, I finally reached the point of giving in.
Then I get down on my knees where You prove yourself to me and I wanna be so much more than what I’ve been.

After just one glimpse of Jesus, it only leaves me wanting so much more.
After just one touch from Heaven, I know that I’m forgiven and I can’t go on living like before, cause there’s so much more.

Bruised and battered, ripped and torn, seeking shelter from the storm that’s where I find myself when I’m alone.
When I put my trust in You, I’m amazed at what You do, it’s so much more than I can do on my own

After just one glimpse of Jesus, it only leaves me wanting so much more.
After just one touch from Heaven, I know that I’m forgiven and I can’t go on living like before, cause there’s so much more.

Meaning to Life

Wave after wave, storm after storm the waters are on the rise. I can't go back, I'm scared to move on, stuck on this ride that we call life.
I've got a past mixed with pain, the future is uncertain there's a million questions wondering why. But I know You say the pain You'll take away and You'll bring meaning to life.

You are the way, the only way out of here. You speak the truth, the only voice I want to hear .
And though I may not always see, that You are life to me, yeah you are life. You are life to me.

Day after day, moment after moment I feel life pass me by. It won't come back no I can't make it stop no matter how hard I try .
But when You draw me near I feel time standing still and there's hope for a brand new day. And I know You say the pain You take away and You bring meaning to life.

You are the way, the only way out of here. You speak the truth, the only voice I want to hear .
And though I may not always see, that You are life to me, yeah you are life. You are life to me.

Who I Am

You came knocking at my door, late one night. I let you in my heart, but here I am tonight.
And I wonder, is there really more? And I wonder, just what You have in store.

Will You show me who I am? I am here reaching for Your hand

Drowning in my self doubt, “am I good enough?” My shameful past comes flooding back, do I deserve Your love?
And I wonder, is there really more? And I wonder, just what You have in store.

Will You show me who I am? I am here reaching for Your hand
Who I am, is not who I want to be. Will You show me who I am?

Calling All Heroes

Son of a holy man, son of a man who sips from a whiskey flask. One's loved and adored, the other one's told you'll be just like your old man.
Both are called by one who sees through different eyes.  Who will answer?  Who will just stand by?

You can be a hero, it’s in all of us if we dig deep enough.  We all have a purpose, our life on this earth is not determined by where we’re from.
We’ve all been called by one who sees through different eyes.  He’s calling all heroes, when will you realize?

A daughter of grace, a daughter of a one night stand she’d soon regret.  One is her daddy’s girl, the other one don’t even know who her daddy is.

Finally Made It (Inspired by the Josh Napper Story)

Sunday morning in the month of May, a mother gets her wish on Mother’s Day.  She prays for a breakthrough as her son sits in the pew.
The preacher shares about God’s love, and talks about His grace, like a gift from above.  He starts to cry, falls to his knees, his hands held high.

If I’m dreaming please don’t wake me up, I’m swimming in an ocean full of Your love, saved by Your Grace.
He finally made it, not a moment too soon.  I always pictured him kneeling here looking at You.  Saved by Your grace from on high, here in this place.

Sunday evening at his momma’s house, supper’s on the table as they gather ‘round and bow their heads while she says grace.  Thankful for what He’s done today.  She hugs his neck and tells her son goodbye.  Tears of joy still flowing from her eyes as he drives away looking forward to next Sunday. And she said….

If I’m dreaming please don’t wake me up, I’m swimming in an ocean full of Your love, saved by Your Grace.
He finally made it, not a moment too soon.  I always pictured him standing here looking at You.  Saved by Your grace from on high, here in this place.

No promise for tomorrow, we’ve only got today.  All we need is a touch of grace.  That next Sunday, you know, it never came.  He was called home the very next day.  And he said……

If I’m dreaming please don’t wake me up, I’m swimming in an ocean full of Your love, saved by Your Grace.
I finally made it, not a moment too soon.  I never really picture myself here looking at You.  Saved by Your grace from on high, here in this place.

Saved

You have rescued me from myself.  In my darkest hour You’re the only one who reached out.  Without You my world would be upside down.  So right here, right now I’m gonna take a stand, I’m gonna make a vow.  With You my feet are planted firmly on the ground, there’s no greater love that can be found.

It’s Your love, it’s Your grace, it’s Your mercy that makes me want more.  I need You.  It’s Your embrace that I long for.  It’s when You’re in this place, oh I’m saved. Oh I’m saved.

Now that I know who I am I can feel Your arms holding me when I can’t stand.  You know my heart has become brand new.  So take me, make me to be the one You use to change the world.  With You I know that I will never be the same, so now, I’m gonna tell everyone ‘cause I’m not ashamed.

It’s Your love, it’s Your grace, it’s Your mercy that makes me want more.  I need You.  It’s Your embrace that I long for.  It’s when You’re in this place, oh I’m saved. Oh I’m saved.

You have rescued me from myself.  In my darkest hour You’re the only one who reached out.

L.A.

She looks like a beauty queen, makes me feel like I’m James Dean, but she loves someone else sometimes it seems.
She’s not tall but I think so, she works out to rock n roll, but she’s got someone else inside her soul.

She reads the Bible every day.  She prays for revival on the subway. She’s got eyes as bright as can be.  There ain’t no doubt about it, she loves me.

Her mom loves the way I sing.  Her daddy don’t say a thing.  He don’t know just what she sees in me.
We stay out and talk all night.  We watch the stars and the fireflies.  It’s so hard for me to say goodbye.

She reads the Bible every day.  She prays for revival on the subway. She’s got eyes as bright as can be.  There ain’t no doubt about it, she loves me.

What LA wants, LA will get in time.  What LA wants there’s nothing I can do to change her mind. What LA wants there’s nothing I can do to change it.

She reads the Bible every day.  She prays for revival on the subway. She’s got eyes as bright as can be.  There ain’t no doubt about it, she loves me.

Love is the Answer

A mother tries to raise her baby, the only way that she knows how.  With a stranger it ain’t easy when she lays her body down.
But in her soul there’s something tugging, it’s buried deep inside.  Tonight there’s something different as she lays there and cries.

You know, I am weak and You are strong. Keep on holding it won’t be long ‘til You bring me through.  I will trust in You.
Though the weight is heavy it feels so small. Keep on holding it won’t be long ‘til You bring me through.  I will trust in You.

This world we’re living in is so crazy.  We try to keep the hope alive.  They took the Ten off of the corner and in our schools prayer has died.
Somewhere we lost direction, ignoring what’s inside.  But in this song you’ll find the answer if you’ll look up towards the sky and say…

I am weak and You are strong. Keep on holding it won’t be long ‘til You bring me through.  I will trust in You.
Though the weight is heavy it feels so small. Keep on holding it won’t be long ‘til You bring me through.  I will trust in You.

Don’t ya know that love is the answer? Don’t ya know that love is the answer? I believe that love is the answer.  Don’t you know that love is the answer?
I believe that love is the answer.  Don’t you know that love is the answer?  I believe that love is the answer.  Don’t you know that love is the answer?

I Need You

You died, You rose, You reign, I know You came to take away the pain so I’ll go wherever you want me to go, be what you want me to be.  Please don’t leave me.

I need You more than the crops need the rain, I need You more than the tracks need the train.  Just as sure as the sun will rise, Lord I gotta be where You are.

Oh the lights have surely faded, another night has come and gone. It’s time to count the lines on the road I’ve been calling home.  And though You seem so far away, I know that You are near.  Please don’t leave me.

I need You more than the crops need the rain, I need You more than the tracks need the train.  Just as sure as the sun will rise, Lord I gotta be where You are.

And thought it seems as though all hope is lost and my eyes are filled with tears, I’m reminded of the price You paid and that You’re always here.

I need You more than the crops need the rain, I need You more than the tracks need the train.  Just as sure as the sun will rise, Lord I gotta be where You are.

One More Time

Burned by a life of complications, some not needed and some won’t wash away.  Many feelings shattered in the open, I left them where they’ll never be spoken or heard, but the stain remains.  Now that I’m older I can see further than my pride.  I live every day wishing they could see You by the way I live my life.

Give me one more time, without You I don’t have the strength to stand.  So I’m depending on Your hand, don’t ever let me slip away.  Give me one more time, let me prove I can be what I want to be.  So they can all see You in me, if You’ll give me one more time.

I wouldn’t be as cold and jaded.  I’d say the tangible is overrated.  I’d love more and hate less.  Cause these things are gonna fade and pass, friends will go and friends will stay, but something that lasts is all we seek to find.  I’d be the best example so that everyone will know You.  I’m gonna be a walking testimony and only use words if I have to.

Won’t you Give me one more time, without You I don’t have the strength to stand.  So I’m depending on Your hand, don’t ever let me slip away.  Give me one more time, let me prove I can be what I want to be.  So they can all see You in me, if You’ll give me one more time.
